Mr. Watson, the Katonah Museum of Art's newly appointed executive director, comes to the job with impressive qualifications acquired during more than 25 years of working in the art world. A 1976 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Mr. Watson's experience includes being the chief curator of the Museum of Glass: International Center for Contemporary Art in Tacoma, WA; and Curator of Exhibitions and Contemporary Art at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, FL. He has curated exhibitions on a wide range of topics such as Burn: Artists Play With Fire and Animal as Muse and published numerous catalogue essays. Before coming to the Katonah Museum, Mr. Watson was the director of the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts.
